For the record, it's finally kind of flurrying outside. Not that this redeems Virginia in any way.

My mom says they got 13 inches where we live in Baltimore County. She's supposed to work today, but she ventured outside only as far as necessary to clean the snow off the satellite dishes and then she called out from work. Heh. I love my mom ( Read more... )

It snowed a ton here overnight. So perhaps there will be no school tomorrow (Fairfax County: If you live less than a mile off a major road, you are not getting plowed for a week)

I'll cross my fingers for you :-P You get something between 6 inches and a foot?

They just announced it: no school tomorrow! We got about 13 inches, and while probably most of the roads are clear, the ice is going to be hell. There's no way buses should be on the roads at 5:00 tomorrow morning.

Yay!

Dude, seriously >.> <.< I probably need to back off Roy O. like right away. The guy's had back to back 20 win seasons, I don't even want to know what kind of bad karma I may have already sent his way. You should probably start praying for him, or something.

crazy roy.

**laughs** I know, right? Who starts futzing around under the hood of a truck without any idea of what they're doing? That's just special.

;-) I kinda love that you love my boys...booksandbasebal and I were talking yesterday about how they're kinda treated like second-class citizens by the league media. [The Series program had only one picture of Craig...on the team roster. She was going to have him sign the program, but after seeing that (and how the thing was 99.9% Sox), she decided against it). Also, looking at next season's schedule, we saw only one ESPN-covered game. WTF?] So any kind of love they get outside Houston makes me happy. I understand you don't want to jinx them, and I so appreciate it! But they'll be all right. I'll pray for them even more than I'm doing now. :-)

Hadn't heard the story about Roy...crazy, though. I'll ask booksandbasebal. She might know.

And yeah, Backe's adorable. I'm going to yoink that picture for my collection (and will probably share it with my friend Jen...he's her baseball boyfriend). :-)

Wow, that's kinda surprising. The Orioles usually manage something like 3 or 4 a year, and we totally suck (then again, it's usually because we're playing the Sox or the Yanks ^_~). And it's not like Houston's not in any kind of media market, because Texas is pretty sizable. Hmm. Is that ESPN covered game against the Cards, by chance?

I'll ask booksandbasebal. She might know.

And if not, there's always the LexisNexis newspaper search ^_~ Yay for using lawschool resources for more fun stuff :-P

And yeah, Backe's adorable.

**laughs** He is! That's from a signing in late January, just so you know. Enjoy :-P

**rolls eyes** I hate when ESPN broadcasts Braves games. Is there anyone in America with ESPN in their cable package who does not also have TBS? No, right? So why do we need the Braves on ESPN when their games are already nationally broadcast all season? So annoying. I'd much rather see a Cards/Astros match up or Astros/Anyone Else match up. Bleh. Stupid ESPN.
