Congrats to the NL Champion Houston Astros! I'm glad I came over to Christine's for the game, we had a fun time, and she saw my awesome homerun calling power in action. (I totally called Lane's homerun, kids. PHEER ME

Thanks...it was good to just relax with my friends and enjoy the game. Yeah, Oswalt's a stud. :-) Ausmus was on fire, though!
My friends have decided that everyone on the team is part of the Killer Bs, so they called them Boswalt, Bausmus, Blane, Beverett, Bensberg, etc. Made me laugh. Also, one of the girls' roommates thinks Biggio's first name is Jeff, so they're Jeff Biggio and Craig Bagwell. Fun times.
Sucks. But hey, the pitching in The Series should be great.
Also, poor Larry Walker.
Sigh.
It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone. -- A. Just wanted to say: league pride never really occurred to me, lol. (and I'm not just talking about this world series) Bethy's talking about it toom, but I've never even thought about rooting for an NL team vs an AL team just because (unless of course its the All Stars). Interesting.

I wonder if it's maybe just a thing where we AL fans are more sensitive to that idea out there that NL baseball (with your bunting, and your squeeze plays, and your defense) is a purer, better form of baseball than AL baseball (with our DH, and our slugfests) is? And we resent the fuck out of it? **laughs** So we always want our the AL to beat the NL in any matchup, because then we can be like AHAHAHAHA OUR ALL STARS BEAT THE SHIT OUT OF YOUR ALL STARS BECAUSE 'NL BASEBALL' CAN BLOW ME. Or something. It's kind of the same mindset come the World Series :-P
