I need another medium

I feel like I need somewhere where my friends can look to find out what I'm up to without having to burden people's flists with it. Like, for example, I wanted to post about what I was doing this evening & not going to be home, but that just seems silly, especially as its not a major event, just hanging out with Chirik

I've heard of it, quinnstorm I think, have an iphone client...but still, it seems like not enough people are on it or something

If it's a publically viewable feed, then it doesn't really matter how many people use it - I can just drop on and check what's going on if I need to know your status :) (Of course, I don't actually know how to contact you outside of LJ, which limits the usefulness, but hey...)
