Just a minor thing:

‘Uh... Canadien français vraiment…’

A Quebecois would either refer to themselves as that: quebecois, or as franco-canadien. I'm also mostly (sorta) sure that nationalities are not capitalized in French. Aside from a couple other minor errors with the French, this was pretty good!

The dialogue doesn't flow very easily, but I find that I truly enjoy this story. It's nice to see these characters from a fresh perspective, and Niamh interests me. I hope to see more of her in the future.

One question... how IS her name pronounced?

Also, would it be possible to get a translation of the French dialogue for this poor, pathetic soul who speaks only English?

Uh...quebecois vraiment…= Uh... French Canadian actually...
Agréable de vous rencontrer Monsieur Beaubier.= Nice to meet you Mr. Beaubier.
Enchanté pour vous rencontrer mais son Monsieur Beaubier-Drake s'il vous plaît Madamoiselle.= Pleased to meet you but it's Mr. Beaubier-Drake please Miss.
Désolé de ma faute monsieur.= I apologise for my mistake sir.
Ne vous en inquiétez pas.= Don't worry about it.

I know this all sounds rather formal but Niamh was taught French in her school so she would have learned formal french not colloquielisms. Hope this helps :)

I can verify that school teaches very formal french. It also does it in the worst way possible.
