Initiation in the Aeon of the Child:

So far so good. It is a decent read. Much better than I was expecting from the conversations I had with folks about it up to this point. Till now, every conversation I had about it, (and I am fully aware of how limited those interactions were) went something like this

Me: "Have you read Initiation in the Aeon of the Child."
Them: "Yeah! OMG, its ( Read more... )

Speaking of Tzaddi, I never really understood why Crowley changed it with Heh from the Emperor and the Star. I guess they said it had something to do with it's balance in astrology, is there anything to that?

As to the whole Tzaddi switch, I've read Crowley's explanation of this several times and personally never found it at all satisfying. I tend to the opinion that ol Mr Crowley was mistaken in his attribution, for a number of reasons: 1.) Liber Al says "Tzaddi is not the star" not "Tzaddi is not the star and He is not the Emperor!" Thanks! I like posting my reviews. But as you can probably see, I am reconsidering already my original assessment.

There are at the very least, some real insights into Crowley's magical system in here. And some elucidation of things that I've never really seen attacked in a book for the masses before.

I'll let you know if anything else really strikes me.

Hope to see you again soon!
