A/N Due to insistent public demand (LOL), I finally decided on ATTEMPTING to write a KyuMin version of this novel since all throughout the story, all I think of was KyuMin =)))
PROLOGUE
I puffed as soon as I climbed off Sen, my forever loyal VW Beetle, the cold wind delicately touching my cheeks. Normally, it would feel relaxing for me; however, it just made me feel more nervous.
Why? I'm about to interview the CEO of the famous Cho Enterprises Holdings, Inc.! Actually, it was my roommate, Lee Donghae, who is supposed to talk to Mr. Cho. Apparently, he got this terrible cold this morning, so he forced me to do it instead. Since he waited for nine months just to meet with this Mr. Cho, he cannot afford to wait for another six months for it to be rescheduled; being the successful entrepreneur this CEO is, his time is definitely precious. Donghae is really lucky for him to be granted an interview with Mr. Cho.
Donghae is indeed really, really, really lucky that he is my best friend because if he weren't, I wouldn't agree to this. Donghae is the outgoing type who you could mostly see in clubs at night, while I am a person who prefers locking myself up in a library and read different kinds of novels. That guy could really be a great journalist because of his ability to persuade anyone easily - take me as an example.
As for me, I am a Literature Major, so I don't have much of the confidence that Donghae has.
However, we aren't like most males here in Korea. We are attracted to fellow guys, not girls. In short, we are gays. Homos.
Okay, enough of that. Let's move on. Here I am now, entering this twenty-story office building, which is the headquarters of the Chos' global enterprise, and at the same time, admiring its features inside. It is mostly made of glass and steel, with white sandstone tiles decorating the floor.
The view on the lobby is almost the same, my gaze falling to the blonde located behind the desk and I immediately went to her for assistance. The moment she recognized my presence, she gave me a polite smile, "What can I do for you, sir?"
I returned the smile, my eyes wandering around the place, "Hi, I'm here to see Mr. Cho."
"Do you have an appointment?"
"Yes. With Lee Donghae..."
She looked over to her computer, searching if ever there is indeed a Lee Donghae to meet with the CEO. I frowned as I observed her nice formal clothing; I should have wore a decent blazer instead of my pink sweater. As much as I thought that my short-sleeved white shirt looked smart enough, it just came to me that my jeans made me look like I'm just going to attend school.
Well, no one can blame me. Hae informed me just this morning so I didn't have the time to thoroughly think of how I would look like. Besides, I'm still frustrated at the fact that I should have been reviewing for my upcoming exams! I need to do well on that for me to graduate!
"Yes, Lee Donghae is expected-"
My thoughts were interrupted when the receptionist spoke again, trying my best not to look startled.
"Uh, my name is Lee Sungmin. Donghae can't make it today, so I'm here in his place." I said.
As if she didn't hear me, she handed me an opened log book and a pen, and pointed at a particular space, "Please sign in here and after that, you may take the elevator and go to the thirteenth floor." She said in one breath as if she is a robot. I found her cold for a receptionist, actually.
After receiving a security pass, I headed to the elevators, and while I wait for the car to reach the thirteenth floor, my mind wandered on guessing what Mr. Cho looks like.
Just like on movies, CEOs are basically middle-aged pervert-looking adults, who has those scary and authoritative aura around them. Damn Hae for not giving me a background of that man. Now how am I supposed to talk to him?! I'm not good in dealing with people, ugh.
I almost jumped in surprise when the doors opened, my mouth hanging open at the lobby, still made of glass and steel. Seriously, do all of the floors in this building look exactly the same?
"Good afternoon, Mr. Lee, kindly wait here for a while. Mr. Cho will attend to you in a few minutes." Another blonde came to me and ushered me to a white sofa at a corner, offering me refreshments. Are all of his employees blonde? Geez, now my theory of him being a pervert raised to 90%. Like I should care...
I sighed heavily; I cannot imagine myself working in a place like this. I do not belong here.
Just then, a different blondie went near me and extended her hand to a large door, her smile making me feel awkward, "Mr. Lee, Mr. Cho will now see you. Please go in now." I nodded as I stood up and strode towards the room blondie number 3 pointed at, but was then stopped by the same woman, "Excuse me, may I take your jacket?"
"Oh, yes, please. Thank you." I said cheekily as I removed my jacket from me and gave it to her. When I stepped in front of the closed door, I suddenly felt my heart thumping fast due to nervousness, beads of cold sweat dripping from my forehead. What the hell is happening to me? Calm down, Sungmin. This is just an interview, for fuck's sake! No need to feel scared or something! It's not like Mr. Cho will rape you.
Finally gaining my courage, I opened the door. Unfortunately, my two left feet once again brought me to a disadvantage for I clumsily tripped as I took a step inside, biting my lips because of this embarrassing moment. Why are you so clumsy, Lee Sungmin?
Then, I felt strong arms wrapping around my waist and helped me to stand up.
I smelled a strong scent of perfume on him and it sent tingles to my body. Slowly, my gaze darted to the man's chest area, which, I won't deny, is amazingly well-formed, and as I looked upwards, my jaw dropped to the floor when I finally took sight of the CEO of Cho Enterprises Holdings, Inc.
"Are you alright, Mr. Lee?" Fuck, his low voice almost made me cum.
