First reaction: Ooooh, shiny.

Second reaction: gods, I do need to get Lily Allen's CD, all the vids are earworming her songs into my head.

Actual thoughts: I love your use of the meta images, not even the backstage things but the scripts and the concept images and the props; it's edited seamlessly and fits into the narrative and heightens the creeping uneasiness. Well played, that.

Also, I had a fantastic gut-punching moment with the cut from Bennet to dancing River, and then the dancing scenes together.

And the insert-images are done so perfectly. I think that the whole watcher-being-watched-watching is integral to the often fourth-wall breaking Joss shows, and of course, the use of images and Terminator vision and video materials in SCC is quite heavy, so it fits wonderfully with both Summer's roles and the song...

Mostly, I'm making happy noises over here.

Happy is good:-) I was worried this vid was only going to make sense to me, so I was really happy you picked up on the reflexively watching aspect. And the dancing, that was such fun to edit after all the violence.

Nice, though I'm a little surprised you didn't work in a clip from "Waiting in the Wings" during the dancing section.

I tried. God I tried. The original idea was to start with the clip of her literally waiting in the wings, the one that looks like a Degas painting, but I found I didn't have the technical chops to get it to work. Then I tried really hard to insert some of the ballet into the dance sequences but couldn't get it to flow, the colours clashed and the dancing is (intentionally) joyless. I wanted joy. Still if this had been an essay the nameless ballerina character from Angel would have been first witness for the prosecution.

You can't win them all, she's like the ballerina in the vid room but I'm glad if the other parts were pretty :)

I'm not even a Dollhouse fan, but I see the overall concept, really fantastic! Your pacing is nice, too.

I really enjoy your editing and use of effects and meta/behind-the-scenes sources in this vid, especially the script excerpts.
