i'm usually pretty good with googlefu & lyrics, but i've got nothing on these. i'd LOVE to know what 1 and 2 are.

Bono clearly has the Power of the Mumble. It truly irks me how the man sometimes totally fails to enunciate.

I'm going to continue asking around because these snippets are bugging me, especially the painfully-familiar #2.

Ah - the closest Bono gets to adhoc rapping.
Maybe the hiphop rumor is correct.
Sounds like Bono's version of 8 Mile.

Maybe Bono wrote these lyrics an hour before the show.
He does this all the time- look at the Mexico and Brazil shows (BD).
