I love LJ a lot despite the shit that goes on because it doesn't really effect me in any way, so I guess I'd be hanging around here for long, until everyone else I know moves or something. *loves her flist too much*

Likewise - I'm not really affected by all the flurry of problems, but some on my F-list are. >__< Makes things complicated, especially when you want to keep in touch with them.

I think it's because Basic accounts don't generate revenue - free without ads = good for us, not good for advertisers.
