Title: Handle with care
Author: Axraxshi
Pairing: Matsumiya, Sakumiya (supposed to be, but it’s hardly mentioned)
Summary: When Jun conquered the Neen Kingdom, the castle and its lands weren’t the only prize that he received
Disclaimer: Don’t own the boys, just the retarded-ly named kingdoms
Prologue:
“Sho-chan, they’re coming aren’t they?” asked Ninomiya Kazunari in a quiet voice, desperately clutching onto the front of the other man’s shirt.
“It’s going to be okay, your highness,” said Sho, gently stroking Prince Kazunari’s hair, hoping he could reassure the younger man even though the both of them could tell from the clanging of swords and the battle cries that they were losing.
As much as Prince Kazunari wanted to believe what Sho said, he knew that the older man was just saying that to make him feel better. They were losing, quite badly from what he could hear. He shut his eyes, knowing that sooner or later, his kingdom was going to fall and he couldn’t bear to imagine what was going to happen after that.
“It’ll be fine,” whispered Sho, holding the prince tightly in his arms, “Nobody knows we’re here,”
Prince Kazunari could only nod against the older man’s chest.

His sword sliced through flesh as yet another groan emitted from his enemy. Kicking the injured solider aside, Matsumoto Jun tore ahead. There was blood in his hair, on his face, all over his body, but Jun didn’t care. This wasn’t his first time at war anyway, but the thrill of it all never faded with each kingdom he conquered.
It wasn’t any different this time. He had his eyes on the Neen Kingdom for quite some time now, he really wanted to over throw this particular kingdom, mainly because the joy it emitted sickened him to the core. He had always wanted to crush the Neen Kingdom with his own hands, and now he finally had the chance.
With a victorious cry, Jun charged towards the great halls of the Neen Kingdom’s castle, ready to face the prince of that kingdom. He threw the grand double doors open dramatically, just the way he liked his entrance, and pointed his sword at the kingdom’s ruler.
“I’ve already won,” sneered Jun, taking huge steps towards the prince and his men. Neen Kingdom’s prince, Kazuya, held his sword and shield in front of him, trying to put on a brave front even though he knew he was no match for Jun.
The Neen Kingdom would never be able to defend itself should the powerful Pine-tree kingdom decide to attack them. The generations before theirs had been friends and managed to live side by side harmoniously, but now that Matsumoto Jun had ascended the throne, peace was a thing of the past.
The blood-thirsty prince only craved for power and wanted to dominate the entire land. He controlled his army using fear and managed to conquer every single kingdom he had waged war with.
“It’s not over yet,” said Kazuya calmly, the tight grip he had on his sword betraying how he truly felt. He had lost many of his men to the war, and he wasn’t going to let their lives be sacrificed for nothing. He had to defend his kingdom at all cost.
“I shall end it then,” laughed Jun, charging towards his opponent. Although it was five against one, Jun managed to overpower all of Kazuya’s guard, leaving the Neen Kingdom’s prince the only one standing.
With a devilish grin, he swung his sword at the other prince who managed to block it with his shield. Just how Jun expected him too. Seeing the opening, Jun thrust his sword at his opponent, grinning at the pained look on Kazuya’s face as he clutched his abdomen where Jun’s sword had pierced him.
Jun withdrew his sword. Victory was his, as always. He turned, walking away, wanting to announce that he had defeated the Neen Kingdom. Smiling brightly as though it was his birthday, Jun left the fallen prince behind. He never killed the royalties. It was more fun to have them watch him take over their kingdom.
As he sent a message along, Jun wandered the corridors of the castle, quite fascinated at the design of it. There was a rumor about the kingdom which had piqued his interest. According to some people, Kazuya isn’t the true ruler of the Neen Kingdom. He had an older brother, the first born to the king and queen, and was destined to rule this land, if only he weren’t so gravely ill. Some said he was bedridden, some said he was handicapped, but all rumors sung the same tune about one thing - the prince’s beauty.
Jun laughed, wondering how there could be someone more gorgeous that he was, it was probably just something someone made up to make the rumor more fable-like. As he explored the castle, laughing occasionally as he came across his enemy’s fallen soldiers, Jun found himself standing at the bottom of a tower.
“That’s strange,” he thought to himself, “The map didn’t show any towers here,”
Thinking that it was odd that this tower wasn’t on the map of the castle, Jun made his way up. The tower was ridiculously high, but Jun’s strength and endurance paid off. He reached the top and found a door. Raising his leg, Jun gave it a kick and the door splintered.
The rumors were true.
“You must be Kazunari,” said Jun, walking towards the two people in the room while swinging his sword around as though playing with it.
He studied the two people in the room, knowing very well that he could easily defeat the both of them. The one closer to him, although quite muscular, looked so nerdy that Jun knew immediately he was the ‘study type’, rather than the ‘fighting type’. And the other one…Jun paused as he looked at the smallest of the three men. His face was pale and his body fragile, but he was indeed beautiful, and it disgusted Jun knowing that he wasn’t the fairest of them all.
“It’ll be okay, Nino,” said the bigger sized, nerdy looking one who immediately grabbed a nearby sword and held it up in front of him, as though ready to fight if Jun attacked them.
The Pine-tree Kingdom prince snorted. The way the nerdy guy held the sword was pathetic, and not to mention his stance. Jun could easily kill him with both hands bounded behind his back. Smirking, Jun lunged for the nerdy guy, knocking him out in the blink of an eye.
“Sho!” cried the smaller man who was lying on the bed, reaching out towards the nerdy guy as he fell to the floor with a loud thud, but he couldn’t get very far as he started wheezing, his hands flying to his chest to ease the pain.
“That was one pathetic guard,” laughed Jun, moving closer and closer towards the other prince.
“What do you want?” asked Kazunari in between coughs, his whole body trembling.
“I want to claim my prize for defeating your pitiful kingdom,”
Without any warning, Jun made a grab for the smaller prince, gripping him around the stomach and hoisting him over his shoulders. The younger man kicked and screamed for all his was worth but the weak prince didn’t even pose a threat to Jun, who descended the towers with a smug on his face, knowing that his victory was going to be a more glorious one now that he had another ‘prize’ for it.
Outside, the fighting had seized, his men knowing they had won, as usual, while the Neen Kingdom’s army surrendered after hearing that their prince had been defeated. Nobody, however, was expecting to see Jun emerge from the castle with somebody slung over his shoulders.
“Get my carriage!” he barked to one of the generals who immediately went to fetch the vehicle. The grand purple carriage pulled up in front of him and one of his men opened it for him. The first thing he did was to throw his prisoner of war into the carriage, grinning at the pained look on the smaller man’s face when his small body fell onto the carriage floor, before climbing in.
The whole ride back to his own kingdom, Jun couldn’t brush the smile off his face as he soaked in the fact that he had won, and his hostage made his day even better. After all, what was more fun than taking a weak royalty as prisoner and toying with him?
