I must say, if you ever get a chance to see an Easter service at the National Cathedral in Washington, go! It was a once in a lifetime experience- something I'll never forget. The music was amazing. He was talking about it in relation to everyone who was sitting in Church. Saying that we were all privilaged to be there today- he made examples on how we were privilaged. One of the privilages was we could read the service. He then proceeded to go on a rant about the public school systems in the US and how we need to support them more.

i had my own nice experience at St. Mathias; i must say that i think the #1 thing about the place is that it's "open" for you to do whatever you consider worship ...

I do agree. The episcopal church has always felt right for me- between the music and the tradition in the worship as well as the church's generally liberal attitude towards social issues.

beleive it or not ... they're "catholic" without the kneelers or the other stuff... so they're 'reformed' i guess you could say (in case you were wondering) -- and 1 of a kind, for its type
