"Frankly? That makes two of us," said Roger. No offense to Kang or Verity, but it was starting to get more than a little crowded in there by the end. He started to shove his hands into his pockets, then paused... no, too early in the conversation yet to reach for one of Pepper's hands. Soon. Just not quite yet.

"Anyway," he said as they strolled along. "I... believe I promised you a few explanations?"

"I'm not sure why. You were provoked." Roger shrugged. "There's a line between expressing yourself and not knowing how to act in public, and you weren't the one who crossed it."
