Blackout, of course, was going to be present at this little get-together. Blackout, in fact, had probably orchestrated most of this, or at the very least assisted Magnum in breaking the portal schematics up into chunks big enough to be comprehensible while remaining small enough to be safe to hand out.

All of the problem sections he'd worked on already in some capacity or another at least once, but for the course of this little...symposium, he was going to stick to his specialty. This would be why he'd taken one of power converters meant to open the portal proper and the appropriate chunk of the schematics and found himself a seat at one of the tables to figure out why the damn thing had fried.

Did...Skywarp hear 'massively complicated math'?

Of course Mikaela was going to show up - there was no way she'd miss this, especially not since this might just possibly be a crucial piece in getting the portal to actually work.

Not...that she was in any kind of spectacular hurry to get home. She'd grown accustomed to the city, it's inhabitants, and had become quite comfortable and successful in her business endeavors.

Still - she'd promised help, way back in the beginning when she'd met him for the very first time.

Mikaela wasn't one to go back on her word.

Kitt had said he was interested in scanning the component in question, so there he was as he'd been told, arriving with his engine only barely making a sound, using electric more than fuel - in some places, it was more intelligent to be stealthy than to broadcast his power.

Tables were of little use to him, but he sat in his corner, out of the way and winding his invisible electronic tendrils through all of the information he could get his sensors on.

Safeguard actually showed up for this, purely as the array and the complexity of it fascinated him. Plus he was bored, and this seemed like a good work out for his CPU.

And getting home, and back to his rightful place at Vector Prime's side was important. It felt wrong to be here, the bond so dulled and retarded to the point where he wasn't sure of it was there some days. Of course, talking to other minicons had told him that those with partners had experienced the same thing.

Besides, any work made in getting this thing to work was good, and if one cared to listen as he worked, they'd simply hear him muttering away in Minicon, ant notes he made in his native tongue, and almost unreadable. Someone had bad handwriting. The sooner this worked, the sooner they could go home.

He hoped.
