What: On the way home - to a new home.
Where: Zone Three.
Summary: With the Tyrans having their difficulties, and Kitt being Kitt, he decided he needed a place of his own - so now he's made a down payment on a small garage in Zone Three.
Notes: It's a shorter commute, but there's not much to say

She'd been taking the old motorcycle she'd been working on out for a test drive. There were a lot of glitches with the thing, it had been in horrible condition when she'd found it in the junkyard. It coughed and sputtered as she rode it, but she hadn't had much of a chance to work on it recently. When one looked at it, she'd worked on it for about the span of two days overall, which she considered rather impressive. She'd taken a completely nonfunctional vehicle with busted cogs and gears and transmission and motor and turned it into something drivable in about forty-either hours.

Not bad, for a mechanic with her hand in a cast...brace...thing.

So, here she was, testing it out when she found a familiar vehicle soaking up the sun. She skidded to a stop, then moved her bike up next to him, tugging her helmet off with her good hand.

"Sunbathing again, Kitt?"

She looked extremely satisfied.

"Perfect. Thank you for doing that for me, Kitt. I owe you big time." That would have raised so many questions. Questions Mikaela could not (and did not want to) answer to the Autobots.

"You do not. I needed to test my new weaponry. Your item gave me the opportunity for a test." Had she known he'd gotten an upgrade? She did now.

"That's...not something I would have wanted to explain away." Her words are muttered, and they aren't really to him but they're definitely audible.

"Oooh, new weaponry? What'd you get?"

"I purchased new weaponry and ammunition from Kino. I now have a self-contained energy weapon as well as explosive rounds for my existant gatling guns." Diagrams again - illustrating the changes as they now sat beneath his hood. "It seemed wise to obtain them as I did expect an eventual altercation with the Decepticons."

But her muttering -

"Mikaela, why would the presence of a first aid kit be something requiring explanation?"

"Oh, nice." She leans forward to examine the diagrams. "'S probably a wise move...they kinda...don't fight very nice."

She flinched slightly, then glanced at the red orb. "Because by all rights, I uh...doubt that they'd think the 'Cons giving me a first aid kit was..." Something. Either way, She knew Barricade would have not wanted that evidence there. "And the one who gave to to me probably would have gotten in trouble if I'd left it there, so..."

Kitt is easy to talk to, and her words that are usually guarded around the Autobots and Sam spill out as though she had no filter to begin with.

"I see. The doubt that exists between the Autobots and Decepticons seems to also exist within the Decepticons alone. To assist you, then, would have been seen as a betrayal and would have been dangerous to the one who had enacted this 'betrayal'. The Autobots would have seen it as a curiousity and a possible weakness."

That was when he understood that, by disposing of it, he had actually aided a Decepticon. Perhaps finding his own home when he did was truly for the best.

"...Yeah. You got it. I just...I didn't want anyone getting hurt. Not anymore because of me. I'm...tired of it." She couldn't stand the thought that a battle had actually happened, and it was her fault. As a result of all of it, Prime had been deported.

This she also felt was her fault.

"He's um...also teaching me and helping me with the language of the 'Cons." She shifted, staring at her hands. "When I touched the Allspark splinter, I think...I think it gave me that ability. 'M startin' to be able to understand the Autobots, too."

"...You speak the Cybertronian language?" he asked, not quite curious but...

Curious.

Being an AI, he had the faintest of understandings - mostly because he'd not applied himself to the study and understood it more as a concept than an actuality, but a machine language was a machine language.

"Decepticon." She corrected. "I think its because I touched the Allspark splinter, before...all that." She doubts he knows the whole story, and she's willing to tell it, if he asks. "But yeah... I'm slowly picking up Autobot, too." Somehow. She's not sure how she's doing that. The languages were similar, yet very different.

"Do you understand it at all?" He's probably picking it up, she's realizing that as she asks. ''Cade's been teaching me and helping me with my pronunciations and tenses..." Her voice trailes off as she realizes what she's just admitted.

"I do understand a portion of the Cybertronian languages. A certain amount of programming was given to me for translation upon my arrival. I have not dedicated myself to further comprehension, however - it seems English is commonly spoken here and I have not had the need. It seems it may benefit me to learn further."

She'd learned, she said, by touching a splinter of ... the Allspark? "What is the Allspark?" he asked then, gathering detials.

When he didn't comment on her slip, she was relieved. Either he hadn't caught it, or he didn't care. The latter was more likely, Kitt didn't miss anything.

"Oh, it's this, well it was this cube that...pretty much gave life to Cybertron. Optimus said without it, they couldn't revive Cybertron.

"It had crashed on Earth forever ago, Megatron chasing it. 'S how the war was brought to Earth. Course, there was apparently another source back home but that's a whole different story."

"This seems to be a very complex situation," Kitt observed. "May I ask, if you have been involved in this war, why it is you seem to have a degree of sympathy with one of the Decepticons?"

The one he resembled, at that.

"...You don't miss much, do you?" She commented, folding her arms and leaning back.

"I...I'm not sure." She started slowly, pulling at her hair thoughtfully. "The first time I met him, I thought I was gonna die. That was two years ago. Second time, I thought I was gonna die then, too. But..." She hesitated, pulling at her hair harder. "He wanted information. Like...about Megatron, his leader, and the Fallen...it was...super important to him. He kept saying he had little reason to live, and that any news of his...Lord was good news. So when he found out he was alive still..." She cleared her throat and stared out the window.

"Said I gave him...hope or something. A reason to stay alive."

Interesting. "So now he helps you. Despite the fact that his... Lord... is now present."

He didn't understand the way humans thought. Only now was he realising how little he understood of how Cybertronians thought. They seemed very similar.

Very irrational and illogical.

"I...dunno what his deal is. He brought me that first aid kit, and he's been helping me with the language...I dunno what to think of it. I mean...I'm not stupid. I know he's a Decepticon. I know that if Megatron told him to kill me, he would. 'S not like I don't realize that I'm putting my life in his hands and on the line every time I see him."

She rubbed her eyes in frustration.

"But I feel like he's the only one who can properly teach me this language, that can help me understand it and the tenses and the pronunciations..." Everything that went along with learning a foreign language.

"And...and weird stuff's been going on lately with me, with Sam...I mean, I knew about the Decepticon before, but now all of a sudden I'm just randomly picking up bits and pieces of Autobot?"

She rested her head on the wheel. "I'm going crazy, I think. I shouldn't have any kind of relationship with a Decepticon. Am I crazy, Kitt?"
