Putress, meanwhile, was oblivious to his observer, continuing his work in his laboratory. At the moment, he was sawing through a large shinbone, preparing it to be grafted onto another bone. The creation of an abomination was a long, tiresome process, though at least the corpses had swollen and ripened, leaving only manual construction and the instilling of plague in the creature. Most of his attention, therefore, was on the simmering beakers on the opposite wall. The third round of improvements upon the acid he'd bought from the shopkeeper fared well thus far; Putress was pondering what type of magic to imbue in it. Shadow magic was traditional, and for good reason, but these automatons relied so strongly on their lightning that it might be worth the deviation.

Rampage crept inside as best as a huge crab-tank could, watching the creature work. Sewing corpses together, weaving flesh and bone...

"You're a strange one," he said, suddenly, completely unafraid.

The failed experiments that Putress left on watch burbled their alert as the intruder entered, warning the Forsaken that he had a... visitor. Putress did not like visitors, particularly unannounced and unexpected ones.

"One who dislikes uninvited guests as well," the apothecary snapped, laying down the bonesaw and sliding hidden vials from his sleeves into each hand. He would not enjoy testing them in an uncontrolled environment, however promising they were, but Putress was willing to sacrifice the samples if need be.

Still in beast mode, Rampage actually scuttled back. Oddly, he did not attack; he simply watched.

"Ah, a thousand pardons to you," he said, actually bowing, slightly. "I heard your song, and I could not help but follow it. And your art, now that I see it, is lovely indeed..."

"Your pain is different from the rest."
