If there was one thing the girls had in common, it was fighting. Or at least talking about it. That and they were both young and female. But that was beside the point.
It'd take her awhile to get used to it, but Toph was seriously glad she'd met Sari and Ed. They weren't her friends from back home, but she didn't know what she would've done without meeting them.

Although frustrated at first, Edward didn't let it get him down. It helped to vent, and by the time the girls would make it over to Ironhide's training facilities, the young alchemist would be in much better spirits. Beating around the big guys always helped, especially the newbies that thought an organic with a metal arm and leg was crazy to think they could do anything to them. Not long after, they'd have a hard time figuring out how they ended up on their backs, staring up at the ceiling.

"Yeah! Oh and you so have to see what Ed can do- its like your earthbending, but kinda different. Its really, really cool."
Entering the large cleared area, she turns to give the place a once over, spotting their male companion. Instantly a grin spreads over her face, and she nudges Toph.
"Speaking of which... Hey Ed! Heads up!"
Without warning, she shoots an energy ball at him, expecting him to show off a move for the newer resident.

She noticed Ed before Sari did and picked up the pace; his unique bodily vibrations made him extremely easy to pick out of a crowd. However, when her friend shot a ball of energy over at him, that was...weird. Totally weird.
If amusing. She grinned, but was thinking more of how it was sort of like Firebending when Zuko shot balls of fire at stuff. Crazy.
