Flame of his ember, how was it that two simple words were so reassuring? All at once, everything in his world felt like it had fallen into place again.
He'd done well on Earth, sure; he'd taken charge and he'd lead. Yet he'd never felt like it was his place. He wasn't a leader, he'd never be a leader. His place was at Megatron's side. He constantly second-guessed himself.
Now he didn't have to any longer.
He opened the door, and froze for a moment.
He still couldn't quite process it. Couldn't quite believe it. Certainly it had happened before in this Nexus, but he'd been gone for cycles now from his own perspective. And yet, here Megatron was, standing right here. This was real.
He could not keep the idiotic grin off his face.
"Sir... it's good to see you."

Ultimately, he just know it isn't getting better anytime soon.
Still, he can bear this. Annoying as it is, he'll deal with it, if it means being here with Slugfest, Starscream, and Megatron.
Once he receives the radio, he leaps onto his feet and charges the front door.
"FFF, SIR NOTHIN'!" He grabs both Starscream and Megatron up into a hug. "Mega-dude, it is MOST RIGHTEOUS to see you again!"

This was far far better than that processing line room.
Slugfest had been sniffing around the apartment searching for any bad sounds - it was best if there weren't any - when Megatron arrived. With no bad sounds, Soundwave wouldn't have to be scared, and really it was better for everyone. Bad sounds would just make things uneasy. He couldn't let his friends feel that. They kept him safe. It was what friends did.
The Dinocon's tail began to wag, causing his entire body to waggle from side to side as he dashed towards the door and the group hug.
"Megat-" Wait. He wasn't supposed to use that name anymore.
He continued to waggle, just humming instead.

It was a good feeling, though; he'd missed these mechs dearly, and it drew a warm laugh from him. Looking from one to the other, Starscream and Soundwave and Slugfest...he was just as happy to see them as they were, even if he was more sedate about it. "It has been too long, my friends," he said, managing to get an arm around each of them, even grinning down at Slugfest. "I am deeply glad to see all of you, as well."
