Apparently, it's much more difficult to acquire funds that were once yours than it is to procure a place of residence you once occupied. [But she'd done it, after weeks of arguing with bank officials and filling out paperwork and going through motions.
And now she was realizing her former self had been fairly successful. Her 'old' job had eagerly

Roxanne! Hey!
Sure, we can talk. We're like friends...right? [There's a slight amount of doubt. She was getting to trust Roxanne in the past, but the loss of memories - if that's what it is - is kinda confusing.]

[Stormer looks up, into the kitchen.]
This guy Roger, he got his visa, but it was like a year after he'd applied.
I've been here months, and...well, I get the idea others have been here longer.

How much longer? Any idea?
[She eyed the coffee pot, waiting for the distinct noise that it was finished. Aaaalmost there.]
Because as nice as this apartment and city seem...I'd like to go back to Metro City.

[Stormer fidgets with a button on her cuff.]
I do have friends here now, but I also want to be back on my Earth, with friends there. This whole like beaming through universes or whatever....
It's not like when someone goes off on a worldwide tour, because...well, because, at some point you have to say goodbye for the last time. Do you think-? It's like when people go to war?

[That it could take that long was incredibly disturbing.]
I suppose it could be thought of like that.
[Ah, there's the coffee. She makes sure it's done with its last drop before pulling the glass pot off the burner and pouring into two mugs.]
Cream? Sugar?

[She sits straighter, perking up at the coffee she can now clearly smell.] Thanks. Cream. Two sugars.
It's hard, the waiting, but without some mad genius in travel between universes, or like, an army, it doesn't seem like anyone has much of a choice. Right?

[She picked up the mug for Stormer and the requested items and brought them to her, along with a spoon. Most people, she's found, like to add it themselves - she didn't want to get heavy handed with the creamer.
She headed back to get her own mug, which she added nothing to.]
Mad genius, huh? [She laughed a little, holding her mug up and sniffing.]
Sounds like someone I know. [Megamind, to be precise. Who's traces were all over this place, though not so much in plan view anymore.]
It certainly doesn't seem like we have much of a choice though, no.

[She laughed softly, as Roxanne did.] Well, I guess I've met a few geniuses, like Megamind and Wheeljack. But to just invent some way home?
[She shakes her head, as she pours some cream into her coffee.] Until something like that happens, we've seriously got to make the best of it.
Have you...talked much to Megamind, since you came back?
