[The video begins panned out--Magnum wants to make sure that you know its him, without mistakes. His Decepticon symbol that had been on his chest is now obscured--mostly because he has not repainted it on yet, and partially because he has some desire to not call to mind factions with this message. Those who are perceptive (and knew Magnum before

...essentially. [He tosses the part up and catches it.] This one is useless, however. Its one of the parts I was sent back, and it both does not fit into my project, and also doesn't work.
[He pauses.]
Obviously the former is more of an issue, but the latter is equally important.

It occurs to me that you might benefit from having somebody to watch your back.

Um.
Anyone in particular we are…executing?
[It pays to double-check the specifics these days.]

[Plus, having two rather loyal cons on this mission might do something to teach Dirge the meaning of the word.]
I do believe the point of 'staging' is that no one actually dies. But it would be easier to fake one of your deaths, rather than risk any of you ending up in jail for real murder, would it not?

I nominate Dirge as the 'victim' then. The ruse would be more believable.

See to it, then. I'm somewhat curious to know if he even can die, lacking a spark as he is.
But, please, do not actually kill him permanently. He is my jet.

Oh, you noticed? [He...catches himself almost preening, and quickly checks it into non-existence. I take it that advice I gave you previously has come in handy, then. How much progress have you made?

[And he didn't want to be beat up.]
None, yet. I'm a busy mech, and I know well enough that this is not something to rush.
But since you mention it, yes. Your advice was useful to me, so we shall see.

But I will not collect you from jail, if you happen to end up there. [In other words--be careful, jet.]

[Dirge shares Lugnut's sentiments on jail- it is a terrifying place for fliers.]
They probably wouldn't be strong enough anyway.

But do go win a few fights, first, and make a reliable name for yourself. They give interesting prizes, and you usually can keep bits off of those that you defeat.
