Author: omphale
Rating: PG-13
Notes: slidellra offered fabulous beta advice, even if I didn't always take it. I was tempted to try my hand at S&A, but ended up going for the traditional.

Snippet: Somebody snickered, and Ray glared around the room. The only other person in sight was the cashier and he was busy doing something with a ( Read more... )

Fraser was going down. He just didn't know it yet.

Hee!

Let's hope Ray remembers to pack up the right book for his niece. ^_^

I think he'll be okay. After all, they're going to need the others, so he'll be sure to hang onto them. *g*

Thanks!

the flush that was climbing out of his uniform and up his face.

This is a most excellent line! (oh god, I've been watching Finding Nemo repeatedly and am now starting to sound like Crush.) Dude! Sweet!

I loved the shivery, shimmery UST, the humour, the way you make the words into pictures I can see.

Thank you! That line took a little tweaking--another example of why I need a good beta for this stuff.

Glad the images worked for you--I actually planned to include photos (not of them, just of the store) but thought better of it at the last minute.

This was just fun fun fun. I hope there are more bookstore adventures to be had. You really do UST well. Shall I say - you give good UST? or is that too dirty?

Thanks! I don't know if there will be more, but it's certainly fun to put them someplace that I already love. So there will probably be more Chicago-location stories, at least.

I'd wear "gives good UST" on a button, at least. :)

Yay, this is lovely! And a lot of fun. (What is the book Fraser was looking at, incidentally?)

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it! And as for the books, the one Ray was holding was this one:

http://www.amazon.com/Loving-Brian-Photography-Howard-Roffman/dp/3861879565/ref=sr_1_5/102-2128065-3515341?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1174539679&sr=1-5

And the one that Fraser very carefully wasn't looking at was this:

http://www.amazon.com/Male-Species-Decades-Photography-Arthur/dp/1883923409/ref=sr_1_14/102-2128065-3515341?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1174540005&sr=1-14

(Sorry about the long links; I'm too tired to fix the coding.)

Hee! I love Flustered!Ray and Flirty!Fraser...and then it's Fraser's turn to be flustered as Ray takes his turn flirting. Lots of lines made me laugh aloud. Naked gayness in the aisles! Tennis match!

I mean, not really looking. Not looking with intent or anything.

Oh, Ray. Hee!
