WHAT??

I'm sure the ALP obsession will come back once "Primeval" comes back.

I love the new Doctor too! Matt Smith is fantastic! It's the first time I've been this excited about Who since the Eccleston series.

I don't know!
I mean, I think it will come back once Primeval comes back on, but you never know. The time from now to 2011 is a lot of time to get even MORE obsessed with Matt Smith. We'll just see how my obsessions pan out.

I think Matt is bloody wonderful as The Doctor. He's so goofy and weird, and he gets all of it. He knows who the doctor is, well, at least 11, and it's just great to see him doing all these wacky things. He's really a great actor and a joy to watch!

My obsessions usually come in waves - I'll be really into something/someone for a while, then it'll be replaced by something else for a while before coming back again. It's hard to obsess over someone when they're not really doing anything new for us to watch. I trust that your ALP love will come back.

Matt is perfect - I mean, I liked David Tennant but his Doctor became a bit stale towards the end and change was needed and they made a great choice with Matt Smith. I love watching him and Karen Gillan interacting together too.

I'm exactly the same way with the whole obsessing thing. I don't know what else to say, because you just hit the nail right on the head. Though, sometimes I wish it wasn't like that and that I could be loyal to one obsession. But, it is too hard for a fangirl like me.

I ship Karen and Matt, sfm. I watched 'Doctor Who confidential' and Matt said he was really fond of Karen, and that just made my shipper heart burst into a thousand stars. And all the cute things they do on set, and the way they interact and - I think I digress. If I continue speaking about those two, I will just start talking in a really annoying fashion.

Matt Smith is bringing so much to the Doctor Who table~
Your obsession is completely justified.

I first obsessed over Andrew when I saw Sci-Fi's Alice but it faded soon after :P

My ALP obsession lasted for quite a while; well for me that was a long time. I've never been obsessed with anyone for that long, besides Johnny Depp.

Matt Smith is bloody fantastic as The Doctor. I'm so excited to see more.

Looks wise, I prefer the first guy. So he may have lost you, but he's gained me. No harm done. :)

Yay for Andrew gaining another fan. ;D Don't get me wrong, I still love that man, but I'm just not obsessed anymore.

Ahhh welcome new Whovian! I hope you enjoy your time in the Whoverse. :D

I've been obsessing over "Doctor Who" since last fall when my friend encouraged me to watch it. 10 was my first Doctor, but I have fully accepted 4 (Tom Baker), 8 (Paul McGann-very handsome!), and 12 (not really "12" but still, David Morrissey) as my Doctors. I'm having a really hard time accepting Matt Smith because everything he does is random and I have yet to find his serious-side believable. :/

For me, the next episode is going to be winner for 11 or I will just be ignoring him completely. I love the Doctor, but I love the Daleks more. :D I'm always happy when my flist talks happily about Matt Smith, because it reassures me that DW isn't going to be cancelled anytime soon... unlike a certain "Primeval"...

I haven't seen any of the other doctor who's, and I don't think I will. It's nothing against the previous actors who have played him, but since I started this all with Matt Smith, he is my Doctor. In the second episode, "The Beast Below" I found his serious side really believable.

"Nobody talk to me. Nobody human has anything to say to me today!"
And when him and Amy are standing in front of that massive window; looking out on space and the ship. His emotions just seemed really real to me. Imo, I think he is doing a fantastic job. And, also imo, his random bits are win. But that's just me. ;D

Aw, no! Don't ignore 11 if this next episode goes badly for you. I know that Episode 2 was written by another writer, and the first episode was written by Steven Moffat. I'm excited to see another episode he's written with Matt Smith. I'm new to DW, so of course I'm probably sounding like a babbling idiot to you. But nonetheless, I can't wait IF Moffat has written another episode.

It's a shame that you're going to let a biased opinion of "your" Doctor ruin what probably would enrich your love for 11. :/

Sadly, I think if 11 does what he probably will, I will have no choice but to ignore him. In retrospect, it took me forever to accept Eccleston as 9 and even a few episodes for me to like 10. 4 and 8 I loved from the first moment they appeared onscreen.

Still... I think it's a real shame that you have already written off anything that came before 11. Believe it or not... DW was HIGHLY successful without Matt Smith. Even back in the era of William Hartnell, the first Doctor... it did great... and he was an elderly guy! Talk about awesome!

I'm not completely writing it off. And I know DW was hugely successful before Matt Smith. Even before Tennant! I know how far back DW goes, and I'm not completely writing it off. I may go back and eventually watch it for some back story and everything, but just not right now. I'm too captured in Matt Smith's doctor to think about the previous right now.

What do you think 11 will do?

You will come over to my side, I know it. And my side is the 11 loving/Matt Smith loving side. ;D
