There is a good place for all personality types in a reasonable company. I can see where all of those traits you listed could be used to great effect. (Perhaps not where you are currently placed, but that is a different issue.) There are some stations in every process where it just has to be right. I expect you do a very good job in those places.

The problem is that HR wants to play checkers, where all personnel slots are filled with interchangeable people with homogeneous skills. A more successful manager plays Chess, where each person's ability to add value is utilized.

My job requires attention to detail, quick data entry, and careful adherence to federal regulations. At this, I excel. I do virtually no direct service/contact with participants; obviously, given my perceived condescending nature and the fact that we work with a primarily poor and poorly-educated client base, this lack of contact with them is a very good thing ( ... )
