Then they'll have to take "The Amazing Race" and "Survivor" and "Desperate Housewives" and "Nip/Tuck" off air [gay people + gay writers = Oh! The Horror!] Not to mention liberally subversive things like "The Simpsons" which has a str8 middle-aged suburban married man aka Homer advocating gay marriages... and I heard there's gonna be some gay characters on "The OC"?

Then they'll be replaced with wholesome family tv, local-made some more, like "Living with Lydia", "Phua Chu Kang" and "Police and Thief"... good clean entertainment that preaches family values. I'm sure MediaCorp DOESN'T hire gay people to do those shows... [pssst... I know at least TWO gay people who were creatively responsible for the wholesome "Under One Roof"!!! How can?!]

Off to watch my QAF...

Don't tell me your ex-now-gay-bf is one of the writers that I happened to know when he had a stint over in the rival station...?

Some local shows on channel 8 are also sending wrong values and they never do anything about it. There's adultry, there's violence. All these are tolerated. Seems like being gay is worse than commiting murder. I don't understand why certain minds are so darn narrow. Perhaps they should just start showing kids programmes on tv. So 'nice' and 'clean' and 'perfect' for everyone's viewing.

hahah exactly. the double standards are amazing eh? I mean violence and gore make much more wholesome family entertainment.

Yes, we ALL know that a charity concert in benefit of AIDS patients is against the public interest. We really wouldn't want them to survive any longer, or to lead fulfilled lives. And the public really doesn't need to know about safe sex anyway. We're not gay right? So of course we won't get AIDS.
