she's SN's Amy but without being quite so annoying
Really? Hmm. I think Dan idealized Rebecca more than Josh idealized Amy (if that's the Amy you're referring to). Rebecca was never as intentionally cruel as Amy was, IMHO. Heh -- maybe this is just because I liked Rebecca (although I hated how she broke Dan's heart) and hated Amy. :p
Casey's look off to the side at the end of I think it was 'Dana and the Deep Blue Sea' but I might be wrong when he's obviosuly thinking about Dana and then the whole comment about her being funny at the end.
Awww, now you're making me want to watch that ep again!!! I loved Dana/Casey -- love that scene in "Smoky" and especially when they're screaming at each other in "Intellectual Property" ("You'd better want to see me naked!" ;p )
Do you have S2 as well? When they released the DVDs here, we got both seasons together. :/ For all that everything sort of fell apart in S2, S1 was truly amazing. :D

Yeah, it's not the closest paralell, I admit but I just liken the relationships to one another because Dan's obsession was quite a but like Josh's with Amy. I definitely like Rebecca a lot more than Amy too, but breaking Dan's heart just shouldn't be allowed. :p

I've watched about ten eps into S2 now and I don't know if I'd say it's fallen apart but there is quite a difference between them in terms of tone that I never noticed before. I wonder if the

No, unfortunately. They said it was going to take two weeks and it's been over that now, so I don't think that means good news. Ah well, I'll keep looking. :)
It still felt a little weird, and not quite like CSI but it was some good TV.
That's along the lines of what I thought about the episode. It was like the writers were focusing too much on writing a Tarantino script rather than a CSI script, and there were a few unnecessary scenes (filler because of the length of the double episode?) and occasional out-of-character-ish moments. Still, the tension was built well, and there was some very good direction - I particularly liked the was the shots were framed when Grissom was walking up to the warehouse with the bag of money.
