I spent the day at a web conference, Webstock, in fact, and dude, it's awesome. I went last year and loved it and I thankfully got the opportunity to go again this year and it just makes you feel so positive about the internet and what you can do with it and what people are doing with it now ( Read more... )

I went to the first Webstock and enjoyed it but didn't quite feel geeky enough for the environment. I'm just a geek wannabe. ;-)

And aaah, that's why there hasn't been any TDS this week. I wondered.

Hmm. It was tied to a Spanish word (fuero, or fiero) and the speaker basically categorised it by doing the \o/ emoticon on stage. Similar meaning to the fandom one though, I think.
