Spoilers for DW S4E12, so don't look if you don't wanna know.

What if the Oster-whatever Key thingie fits the time lock on the Time War? Harriet wouldn’t want it used since it would free the Daleks as well as the Time Lords, but it would be the way to bring Gallafrey and the TLs back into the equation that is New Who ( Read more... )

Interesting spec!

The thing is that I got the impression that Martha knew how to use the key. Ditto Harriet (I mean, that Harriet also had the impression that Martha knew how to use the key).

I've read some spec tonight about *Harriet* (about her fate and her purpose) and the reasons why she would be against Martha using it that worry me.

Is it spoiler-y spec, or crackpot spec? Cause if it's not spoiler-y, I totally wanna know!

To be honest, at the moment no one knows if it is spoiler-y spec or crackpot spec because there has been a near black-out for the press regarding the finale. Essentially, because we never see Harriet die, there's been an awful lot of speculation as to why UNIT was cool with giving Martha the key (perhaps with the impression that she might need to use it) and Harriet is like "Never under any circumstances use that key!".

It could be a reset. It could be something like a delta wave. It could be so many things. But then why would Harriet Jones be against a reset? And if it is a mass-destruction weapon, Harriet might not be worried about humanity but some other group. *hint hint* So it's a lot of reasoned out-spec, although I think it's a bit crackly.

It's clear now that Harriet Jones is NOT the Red Dalek. But that doesn't mean that she doesn't become one later in some form.

The more one thinks about it and digs, the crazier it gets.
