so in my attempt to watch the whole BtVS series with my friends who never watched it before we've finally completed S6.

it's funny how the perception of the seasons change depending on what kind of people you're watching with...
at the moment I'm the only Spike fan in our little group, but their resistance is futile ;)

and it's a lot less depressing to watch with them as they don't see as much drama as the online fandom *g*
it's kinda refreshing to see that I'm not the only one who reacts in certain ways to S6 and S7, sometimes I felt like I'm really shallow without any deep thoughts, bored by too much melodrama, and annoyed by waisted plotlines. what fandom loves about this show is in most cases not the same things I love about it ;)

Hey, I just friended you!

I've been watching the series with my friend, too and we're up to the final three episodes :( Anyway we are both total Spike fans, but she was kinda mad at him for trying to rape Buffy. I tried as kindly as I could to explain to her that Buffy is evil and Spike just made a mistake. She understood and eventually forgave him, especially since he was hilariously crazy in the first couple of episodes in S7.

oh, i wholeheartedly disagree. actually Buffy is one of my favorite characters ont he show and I love her muchly. I'd never say that she's evil. sure she screwed up sometimes, but everyone has the right to make mistakes. Spike as well as Buffy :)
