See... the thing is, he does know, but what he thinks he knows is that despite the bond, she betrayed him, anyway. That's colored *everything* else for him, all the ways he sees it. So, he's got an automatic and knee-jerk reaction to all of it. Ugh.

(If it's any comfort, I'm breaking my heart, too.)

"we've never seen this before" - It's Fury. I don't think the WORLD has seen anything like him before. But his grittiness, his toughness, that bulldog attitude I think he has sometimes - to dig his teeth in and never let go - definitely make him someone who could survive... even if he didn't want to.

And that last line - oh, that one hurts.

Yep. He's... probably the only one who *could*. Nat might could, I don't know, but I don't ever want to find out, either. So. Yeah. It sucked for him, and he's never been the same sense - never will be, and that's going to really play into things.
