I liked the Tai Chi instructor. ;P

The visit by Dia Jing was really cute and showed a very happy Hikaru. Besides Little Mouse is adorable. Someone should make a Tai Chi poster with a little mouse.

Thank you, darlin'. I really tried to tell a story that was true to this kind of difficulty.

This is great! I loved it!
Also, this: "The guy, she learned, was Jim Kirk and later, as they fell toward certain death after the stupidest mission she'd ever volunteered for, she was pretty sure he'd grabbed her ass." was HILARIOUS!

Also: "Da. I am set to 'stun.'"
HAHAHAHAHAHAH!!

I'm usually wary when it comes to fics of this nature, but as usual your characterization was both enjoyable and believable.

This was great. Cute and fun, yet you dealt with the topic in a sensitive way. I really liked the fact that while Hikaru's family was concerned about her and her dad was resistant, they were ultimately accepting that this was just the way she was. I think it would have been slightly unrealistic to have everything be sunshine and rainbows the whole time. But the way people were concerned and then matter of fact is the way I imagine and hope people will react to trans folks in the future.
And Pavel being concerned about babies and then okay is just too cute.

Thank you, anon! I feel that researching the matter at hand is important before proceeding with a fic such as this. This is a difficult thing for any family and I was mainly concerned about accuracy and how such an issue would be handled in the 23rd century with much advanced imaging technology, surgical techniques, and understanding of the human brain. Some of the most fun stories in science fiction come about when you daydream about how an ideal world would deal with something that's rather troublesome today.

Mama Chekov wants grandbabies.
