I love Hikaru's little flirtatious note! I also love Pavel's introspection. He's right he doesn't have "all the time in the world", in that there's a risk they'll be reassigned to separate Starships when their mission is up. i assume spouses generally are kept together if at all possible? So, he's clearly thinking of that.

I didn't comment on the previous parts, but I'm glad their didn't "blow their cover" with their mission subjects there! I didn't like the darker undertone of that society personally, but I liked Elle, and I liked that she stood up for Pavel and Hikaru.

I'm glad you are periodically updating this story, even though it's not as wildly popular as your McCoy/Kirk one! :)
