Ah, I have a question, if anyone here would be so kind as to humor me? If not, please just pardon the intrusion!

Have you ever heard of, uh-- [he hesitates noticeably, here, obviously just a little uncomfortable with his own words. And why not? He'd likely be writing his own bad press in his reality.] --'vampires ( Read more... )

[Sure, he's laughing at you, but... the irony in this is too good to resist?] Impossible!

[And just in time~ He was starting to miss all the derision from home. ♥]

Oh, it's you again.

A few months past, I would laughed if someone had told me I'd be spending all of my time in a sentient city with misfit residents from every corner of existence. But, well, you see.

What's impossible seems relative, now.

[He'll regret missing it soon enough. 8) but at least you don't get bloodsucking from this guy DX]

Our whereabouts have nothing to do with 'Vampires'. You'll need to come up with a better answer.

[But he's such a glutton for... Getting kicked in the face. x| Too bad~ Then he would be prey 8D!]

On the contrary, I think both must be related in some way. Pieces of a larger puzzle, one I'd still like to solve.

Vampires? They're mostly urban legend and myths back home, and most characteristics that vampires are associated with are only traits of certain species of monsters. Although vampires are really popular in women's romance comics and novels...

What? In romance novels, you say? Well I've never read one like that... My, this just keeps getting stranger.

Mmm! Vampires are really popular in the 'forbidden romance' genre! You go to the bookstore and you can practically find a whole shelf full of them. That's practically all some authors write, there's a lot of women who are really big on that sort of thing.

What're vampires like where you come from? I figure if you're asking about them, that means that they're pretty common in your home world?

Ah! I suppose that, er, might be appealing to some. Personally, I don't know why they insist upon finding so many new ways to complicate it. Love is confusing enough as it is!

It's hard to say. I couldn't tell you what humans are like, as a whole, either! They do drink blood, and they're very strong, and very fast. Some have even more incredible abilities, as well.

Uh, yes, they're very commonplace. Many live among humans, but the New Human Empire--it's a country where we're in the vast minority.

Heard of them, never seen them. What brought this up?

The lack of them, here, and that so many people seem to think they're merely fictional characters. The Template I'm from was a sort of neutral ground between sides.

Heh. I don't think their existence isn't at all entirely impossible, but most people are willing to think they're non existent. Like demons.

Yes, uh, I heard just today that there was someone at least part demon in the city. I wouldn't have believed it before, but I don't see why I shouldn't, now!
