Anyone know Bruce Schneier?

Dec 13, 2013 16:41

So, for the 100th episode of OurSQL: The MySQL Database Community Podcast, we got Randall Munroe of XKCD. For our 200th, we'd like to get Bruce Schneier (we're on episode 167 now, so we have time).

Anyone out there with personal connections? We can contact him via info on his website, but we'd love to do it via friends-of-friends if we can.

I don't know him, but I know a few people at the Berkman Center for Internet and Society which is his current temporary home. Whether that's at all useful to you , I don't know.

That is excellent information; it means that I can likely interview him in person. I have some leads, actually, so I don't think I need your connection, but if I do, I'll let you know.

I think he's speaking at Harvard for a lunchtime seminar next week? I seem to recall seeing that in the latest Berkman newsletter.

not listed at http://cyber.law.harvard.edu/events , but maybe it's not open to the public?

Ahh, it's a SEAS seminar rather than a Berkman one. Here's the listing, for next Wednesday 12/18:

Title: The NSA, Snowden, and Surveillance

I just came back from his lecture. He said he'll be around the rest of this week.
