Matthew wakes up feeling as though he's been sitting here for ages. He doesn't know exactly where he is, per se, until his eyes manage to focus on the almost-empty room around him. Slowly but surely, he recognizes this place.

His second option was to just hole up in some little club and drink deep. He had to be careful-- couldn't let himself get too far gone. But that wasn't stopping him from drinking speedily through his first bottle. His jacket was pulled up a bit and he was generally trying to merge back into the shadows, to avoid the public eye.

He glances around at the idle clubgoers, figuring that it must not be too late if so few people are here (or maybe this place just sucks as much as he'd thought it did to begin with). He doesn't see any faces that intrigue him until he spots a familiar mop of jet-black hair trying to hide an unhappy face that Matthew remembers all too well. Gideon Graves, his mind echoes ( ... )

"Patel," he smirks a little despite himself, glad to see another Ex. Even if Matthew does look pained and bewildered and disoriented--exactly how he felt after waking up in the Chaos Theater. "Welcome back to the land of the living."

But he can't seem to grasp formalities yet: so he just stares up at Gideon, confused by what he's just said. "...So...I did die?" he asks, not sure how to come to terms with that. Didn't his mother always say something about being reincarnated after death...? He's pretty sure that you aren't supposed to be reincarnated as yourself, though. Something is very wrong here, if Pilgrim did in fact kill him.

He might try to get her attention? Or wait to see if she notices him first. Either way, Ramona seems pretty sullen, which is an expression that she rarely shows to anyone, especially out in the open like this.

Well, until she walked past where Matthew was sitting. He might notice that Scott's nowhere to be found as far as she knows, but she did feel like the person she just passed was someone she remembered...

"Whatever." said the manager hardly paying attention to Scott.
Taking that as a form of acceptance Scott stepped out from the back stage area into the club and was about to head to the bar to order something to drink when he saw someone sitting in a corner and instantly he lunged forward so he could point at Matthew with an almighty finger of accusation.
"YOU-"
Which drew some attention from what little amount of people where there. Then Scott rubbed his chin with said finger trying to dig through his memory.
