The points in here aren't hard and fast rules. Otherwise they'd be under Rules, and they're not, so hey, there you go. Rather, they're more tips for having a successful career as a player at SPvDR, or at any other game, really. So basically, taking these points (or at least the spirit of them) to heart really helps to keep the game's atmosphere all peaches and gravy. Cool? Cool.

- Tag around! Life gets boring if you just keep repeating the same things and tagging with the same people over and over. You never know what you might be missing out on by restricting yourself to certain people. Also, it's especially nice to try and welcome new players and get them acclimated to the place, too.

- Don't be shy about communicating with other players. Especially if you're doing something plotty or that involves multiple other characters, it helps to work out plans and such OOCly so that everyone is on the same page and no one's feelings get hurt due to unpleasant surprises. The official game chat, awesomestchat is always open for that kind of thing, so drop in any time. And besides all that, RP is just a great way to make new friends and build new relations between characters! Don't squander that opportunity!

- Related to communication, try to get in the habit of asking other players' permission before joining in-progress threads. We won't make this a requirement, since we know it's not always a huge deal, but know that not everyone enjoys being threadhopped. Especially try to ask if you're about to threadhop on someone you've never played with before.

- Don't be afraid to make extensive use of the Game Suggestions and Event Suggestions posts. If you have a really cool idea for an event or a plot or a new game mechanic or something, we want to hear about it! Not least because mods love any excuse to not have to come up with everything by themselves. Aheheh... Also, though, because by their nature, dressing rooms aren't meant to have absolutely everything controlled from overhead by mods. All players should feel like they have a major say in what goes on here story and event-wise, with mods just having the final word on implementation.

- If you're relatively new to RP, or just need a refresher, check out this handy Livejournal Roleplay FAQ courtesy of Netherworld RPG. It will help to provide you with a really solid grounding in RP terminology and common courtesies/practices. Not all of it applies to dressing rooms, of course, but enough of it does.
