Now that things have calmed down for the most part, it's as good a time as any to ask...

[He pauses, taking a seat. It looks like he's outside somewhere.]It's clear to me that many of us have come from completely different galaxies and cultures. We are capable of greatly different things for varying reasons. I can't help but be curious about these ( Read more... )

Oh, whatever holds more fond memories for you, I suppose. I'm not terribly picky.

[ well, an adult is most certainly a rare sight in these areas, apparently, so this is a little refreshing. ]

Don't forget times! There's quite a bit of deviation among the points in time in which those here arrive from - regardless of whether it's the same world or not!

Hm, would you be just as gracious as to tell us about your own world in return? Equal knowledge is the key to understanding one another.

[ although he doesn't really abide by that himself, considering he normally takes more knowledge than he gives. ]

Ah, yes! How could I forget times? [Literally. Someone who should not be here is.] I'm still getting used to that. Someone from my own world came from an earlier time-- ten years prior to my time, in fact.

Certainly. It wouldn't be fair to ask others to share their experiences if I was unwilling to do so in return.

Oh, really? [ he's had the exact same sort of run-in himself, so he believes that without any doubt. ]

Very well! There are the Four Great Dukedoms where I'm from - at least two are in total opposition because they are simply so different from one another. "Light" and "dark", so to speak, considering one household operates rather publicly while the other deals with "behind-the-scenes" work. The most fickle of differences cause the most conflict, wouldn't you say?

This isn't some form of covert information gathering, is it by any chance?

[Mitsuru has her doubts, so she'll start with them first.]

No. [A beat, then he chuckles.] And even if it was, would you honestly expect a truthful answer?

I think you can tell from the way they respond, don't you think so?

Possibly. That would depend on how skilled a deceiver they are.

It is quite interesting, no? I am from Earth, which I think is common with many here. Which are you from?

Very! I had always imagined there were other galaxies full of life, but to actually meet those who are from them is fascinating. I'm from a very large galaxy and I travel constantly, but the planet Coruscant is the one I call my home. It's a large city planet, entirely covered in... well, city.

What's Earth like? I've never heard of it.

Ah, galaxies are still unreachable dreams in our time, my only encounter with different worlds and galaxies, and I guess multiple dimensions, started here in Vatheon. What is it like, to travel around--oh and what is Coruscant like?

[Curiosity +10? Check. She's trying to imagine a city planet covered in city.]

Earth...hmm. It's a single planet, the surface around 70% water, and the land divided into seven continents, all with a variable number of countries. I dwell in the continent of Asia, as the country Vietnam. [Shhhh that last bit makes sense to her.]

*Selphie's always happy to talk about her world, especially when she's in danger of forgetting it, so she smiles brightly and nods*

Sure thing, mister! What would you like to know?

That's a good question. There's so much I could ask. [He considers this for a moment.] What about something you feel makes your world unique? Or your favorite thing about it, perhaps.

My world is unique because...

*She thinks about this. What have other people been amazed at?*

Oh, we have magic! And huge big monsters that can come fight to protect us!

My favourite thing about it is...

...lots of things. Mostly my friends.
