Last night, Lilly got stabbed. It gets a little hazy after that, but she's fairly sure that she's going to live... as much as she generally does

Sallie barely knocks. She's like that.

"What the good gorram are you doin' getting stabbed? You've been spending too much time 'round Malcolm."

[awesome_lilly]

Lilly blinks wildly for a few seconds before starting to grin.

"Mrs. Mal's mom! Hi. Uh. I didn't do it on purpose?"

[realmrsreynolds]

"Same ol' story, I swear. Can I come in?"

She's already in, but it seems like it's the right question to ask.

"Can I get you anything?"

[awesome_lilly]

"Course!"

Lilly is so not above answering the rhetorical questions right now.

"Nah. I'm good. I've got drugs!"

Clearly.

"Makes it all worthwhile somdays, drugs," Sallie jokes.

Sallie comes on through to pull up a chair beside Lilly's couch-throne, peeking at the television.

"Anything remotely entertaining off o' this?"

[awesome_lilly]

"Kinda?"

Lilly shrugs.

"It's a little hard to focus. With the drugs. Because of the stabbing."

Another effect of the drugs? Forgetting that other people might actually have working short-term memories.

"So I hear."

Inflating just a little to straighten up in her seat, "You missed my man trouble, I'm very disappointed in you."

Lilly's eyes get very big. It's even more noticeable with how large her pupils are at the moment.

"Man trouble! Oooh. Tell me! I've been injured, I need the healing power of gossip."

[realmrsreynolds]

"You know Boromir, right? He works for you?"

Sallie explains the whole series of events, from Boromir walking up to her for no reason to admitting rather strong feelings of affection for her, to Tom's potion being slipped to him and whatever being wrong with Boromir breaking.

A weak laugh, "What is it with me and dead men?"

"It's a Mrs. Robinson thing," Lilly says solemnly.

You can tell she's being solemn because she's nodding a lot.

"You're like, the hot older woman, and they're like, dead and yeah. Totally."

Apparently to her, that explains it all.

"I'm not quite sure who Mrs. Robinson is, but I'll take your word for it."

There's a bit of a sigh, then a very awkward, "He was...nice, to me."

Oh. Ohhh.

"Aww, Sallie. Of course he was."

Lilly reaches out to pat her hand in a consoling if somewhat uncoordinated fashion.

"You're awesome. It doesn't take drugs to see that. Maybe it takes drugs for some people to act on that, but that totally doesn't affect your inherent awesome."

[realmrsreynolds]

A light snort. "You're supposed to say that -- I'm old enough to be your grandmother."

Or possibly great-, which disturbs her slightly.

"Lies!"

Lilly looks very sternly at her. Or tries to.

"Mal's mo- can I call you Sallie? I hope so, cause I think I already did. Anyway. Are you in need of a gentleman friend? Because you are awesome, and I can totally hook you up with some dates."

"Sallie's fine."

As for the other suggestion, Sallie bites her lip in consideration, mostly sure that she shouldn't agree to anything while Lilly's on medication.

"There isn't anyone about old enough."

A statement of fact rather than the rueful tone used previously.

"Okay, that is also lies."

Lilly's looking thoughtful.

"If I found people for you, would you go on dates with them? Even if some of them were kinda... unconventional types?"
