Oh my GOD, this is WONDERFUL!!! I love your Wolfe voice, it's so true to canon it reads like Stout himself could have written it. Wonderful, fic. Absolutely AMAZING!!

Hee! Thank you, dear! I'm so glad you liked it. I really loved the prompt, so thanks for putting it out into the world, even if it wasn't directed at me and I came in and yoinked it. I'm glad Wolfe sounded like himself, he's sort of a tough nut to crack. Though I found it kind of interesting that when I'm writing from Archie's POV, Archie is this suave, debonair, witty guy who looks after a childish recluse, but when I started writing on Wolfe's side, Wolfe became a measured, quiet, stoic man and Archie turned into a five-year-old. It was fun to explore.

Thanks for reading and taking the time to comment!

Lol, I love your comment that the POV change flips the way the characters seem. It's the sign of nuanced personalities and characteristics because for all Wolfe sees Archie as this sort of irascible annoyance (and Archie seeing Wolfe as a sort of childish recluse) there's also that deeper sense of acknowledging it's only a small facet of the other character overall.
