Ouch! Sometimes the truth hurts!
It's bittersweet reading about Howard and Tony, because I know of course that things go wrong later, and they've probably actually started going wrong already. Howard does great when they can bond over fixing things, but the rest of the time?
I love Maria, and of course Jarvis.
I like the strawberries-maybe a dim memory of that is why Tony got Pepper strawberries to apologize even though she's allergic?

I think it might be in the novelization of the first Iron Man movie, but it might just as well be from a fanfic I read once, but it mentioned that Tony has a car he keeps working on because it was the last thing he and his dad were working on before he died, and Pepper notes that every time he gets close to finishing it, he finds a reason why it still needs to be worked on, so he doesn't have to give it up. I've always really liked that idea, because I think that building stuff is probably the only time and way Tony and Howard could communicate with each other.
Pepper strawberries to apologize even though she's allergic?
Yep, I kind of threw that in without thinking about it, but as soon as I wrote it, I went 'I bet that's why Tony brings Pepper strawberries' because his mom really liked them and Howard used them as a make-peace.
