I really like your Maria Stark, and of course Jarvis remains full of win. I can easily imagine him older but still very much the same, with little sighs and an occasional tug on the ear and that very expressive face (sometimes trying very hard not to express things).

Howard and Tony seem true to themselves; being in a house with two male Starks sounds like a nightmare!

I like the detail about the ring. I take off my rings just to type. There aren't a lot of rings that would work well with latex gloves when things are dangerous and one needs to be sure the glove isn't stretched or punctured.

It's also fun to see proto-JARVIS!

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed them.

For some reason, I have no trouble aging James D'arcy up in my head either. I feel like I know exactly what Jarvis looks like at this age, even though I often have trouble aging up established characters. I remember when I was writing my Trio AUs where Siger lived, the one with Mycroft was incredibly hard to write because I had so much trouble picturing Siger old enough to be a father to a son who was at the age Siger was in my head still. I ended up having to mentally cast an actor so I could figure out how to make him talk and move in my brain theatre.

At least we know what Howard looks like at this age, though I still have trouble putting Dominic Cooper and John Slattery together.

The Starks! I loved this snippet into the more domestic part of their lives.

It had a smiling face, but much of its inner workings were visible and Jarvis found that somewhat distressing. He wasn't sure if it was because the robot looked injured or just because it was naked, and Jarvis found how pleased it looked about either possibility unsettling.

This made me laugh no end as I could just imagine the slight wince on James D'Arcy's face at seeing a robot who is a bit too pleased at being either naked or injured.

I also loved the detail about Howard and Tony both loving Terminator. That would so be a film that they'd both adore.

Thanks! The Stark family + Jarvis are currently taking over my brain. Plot bunnies all over the place.

It randomly stemmed out of me looking up films released in 1984 for Maria to suggest Jarvis see, but then I saw 'Terminator' and I went 'oh yeah, Tony and Howard loved that movie'. I picture Howard buying out a show to make it easier for them to see a movie, and then for the next three weeks, he keeps buying out the show every Tuesday night or something until Maria politely suggests that, while it's nice that he and Tony are having fun, it might be good to let other people see the movie, too.

Thanks for reading and commenting!
