I think he probably logic'd himself out of it after a decent period of 'but there was a Roman soldier there'. Then Mycroft probably joined the government and got access to UNITs files and had a sudden realization that Sherlock was perhaps not as wrong as they thought, but decided there was no need to encourage Sherlock by letting him know he was right about something.

I really enjoyed this story! Amy and Rory are two of my favourite companions from DW, so it's great to have them interact with Sherlock, even if only in a short fic.

Ooh, I enjoyed this one. I love Sherlock's looks of wonder and amazement when he deduces the time travel, and how he figures out about the events in his past that technically haven't happened yet to Amy and Rory. Poor John!!!
