“Sherlock doesn't get hungry,” John said. “He survives on draining the happiness from others. He's full all the time.”
Vampire Sherlock!

I love Duinn. He fits Molly very well.

Sherlock does need someone telling him he's doing well, and John's probably not doing much of that at the moment (and Sherlock probably won't believe John about it right now anyway).

Whoops, belated thank you for reading and commenting! I've been behind on my replies of late.

Thank you! I saw a picture of a Japanese flying squirrel and, without knowing anything else about it, decided that's what Molly's daemon would be. Duinn was a chinchilla before then, but was swapped out on the spot. :-D

Heeee, Molly’s interactions with Sherlock are priceless, as always. I love how he wants her to be more assertive and how he interprets her sometimes awkward rambling.

Tzophiya hopped down and strode over, poking Subira in the side with her beak. Subira punched her in return and swatted her with her tail.

I love these little daemon-to-daemon moments, how everyone’s souls interact with each other, how comfortable they are touching. So sweet.

It’s fascinating how John refuses to fully see/acknowledge that Sherlock’s worried about him. Just like in the show, it’s hard for John to accept Sherlock’s human tendencies.

Everyone else could have been wiped from the planet and Sherlock probably wouldn't report it, except to complain that no one is getting murdered any more.

OMG, this line made me laugh so hard. Now John may be exaggerating just a little… :)

I’m glad Molly got to give both John and Sherlock some encouragement and let them know progress has been made. It must be hard to tell when they’re in the midst of it.

One of the things I find fun and challenging with daemons is how much they make physical contact. My general rule is that they would do it more than their humans would, so for Molly who likes to hug, Duinn is super in your force, but for the Holmes Brothers, who would only touch to maybe help the other one up if they fell down, their daemons only bump into each other or give a brief pat on the head.

I tend to rewrite interaction sections several times before I'm happy with how much contact there is or isn't.

It's always good to have someone around to tell you how far along you've come. It can be very defeating when you're taking such baby steps, I know from experience with illness and injury.
