Awww this is so sweet. Poor Sherlock, not knowing how to process emotions but having them all the same. And I like the world building of the bassinets for the daemons and how they are effected by the drugs their humans are on.

Thank you! I sometimes find it tricky to navigate the modern word with daemons (what happens if your daemon is too big to fit in a car? How do ambulance attendants and medical professionals move unconscious daemons; is it still taboo to touch them if they're in danger?) so I'm glad the world building worked for you.

Thanks for commenting, and putting up with my daemon kick. :)

The only reason they assume we are is so they don't appear to be homophobic. Everyone wants to reassure you that they are perfectly comfortable with same-sex partnerships, so they rush to assume we're together so they can show off about it. Omg, he’s so right. This is true. My mum is a nurse, and she learned to never assume anything about anyone's relationships, and to always ask 'and who is this with you?' instead of assuming it's platonic or unplatonic. Same-sex couples have more rights in England than elsewhere, which is good. It's not perfect, of course, but my research has told me they can serve openly in the military, and adopt children, and now they are legally allowed to be wed instead of just in a civil partnership.

Thanks for reading and commenting! I'm glad you enjoyed it. :-)

"Die if you have to, but hurry up. You know I have no patience for waiting.”
Worst permission to die ever! And then he revoked it!

I love Sherlock's observation of the floor polish from Mycroft's shoes. I love Sherlock playing the worried husband. I love Molly helping Sherlock. So many good things here.

Sherlock is nothing if not passive-aggressive.
