“Yes, well, the description of 'a minor stab wound', while an admittedly excellent attempt to downplay, didn't quite reassure her"
Whyever not? Hahahaha!

I love Siger's perplexity at John, who seems pretty normal compared to the Holmes family!

Poor Mycroft! All that work cultivating his image, and he's still trying to do it while half out of his head in a hospital.

I like to think that John never really got over his fear of Sherlock's dad, and tends to act extremely weird on the rare occasions where he's in the same room as him. While Dora has basically adopted him and sends him Christmas cards and worries about his health.

Thanks for commenting!

Because Dora is a sensible person, and Siger is a nut who scares even a man who invaded Afghanistan.

Poor injured and drugged Mycroft! Despite Siger feeling he's better at the aftermaths rather than on site comforting, I think he did exactly what Mycroft would need which is to act like his normal self. I liked the little details of Siger admiring how small electronics can be now and Q warning him not to give the cuff link to Sherlock.

Nice blend of plot and insight into the domestic lives of the Holmes family! This has bee a really fun trilogy to read!

Thank ye! I struggled wih this one a little because, like Q and Mycroft, Sger and Mycroft are too functional together to be very interesting. I'm glad it worked out.

It was quite a lot of fun to write, I have to admit. I may do more at some point. I was contemplating doing something for Dora, but I wasn't sure if it might be too sad.

I can't stop writing the Trio AU. I need someone to take my bunnies to a good home. I literally have nothing that is not this AU or my Abby AU on the go.

I don't see that as a bad thing. I love both verses.

Thanks! I just feel like I might lose my ability to write the characters as canon, but until I get some bunnies from Series Three, I think I've told all the canon-based stories I can.

I very much enjoy how Sherlock and John are a big part of these scenes even when they’re not physically in them (at least at first). It’s nice that John seems to be like a part of the family (“Strange little man,” hahaha). And Sherlock’s off avenging!

I also giggled at Trevelyan’s use of “Data,” lol! How perfect!

It was unsettling to see Mycroft out of sorts. Mycroft was the child Siger worried about the least.

Yes yes yes, this is so accurate. You really don’t expect Mycroft to be the one physically injured of the three boys. And it was so moving how Mycroft was trying so hard to appear fine even when he clearly wasn’t.

I really love this verse (and the Abby one).

Yeah, I think Mrs Holmes has basically adopted John at this point, but Mr Holmes is like Sherlock's brain hard drive theory. His heart can only hold a limited amount of love, and he's using all the ram he has for that. There's none left for John.

I really love this verse (and the Abby one).

Thank you! They are super fun to write.
