I'm fighting hard against the urge to just hug myself tight right now. That was wonderful. The slow progression of Sherlock's recovery was painfully, yet appropriately so. And I loved that you paid proper attention to the strain the situation would have had on John. Sherlock's surprise at John being there for him, because really, where else would be be, was touching. I LOVED when John pointed out to Sherlock what had helped him get beyond his own injuries. I really think that Sherlock has no idea just what their partnership has done for John. Thank you for sharing such a lovely story with us.

I was reading this on the train home and had to make sure I didn't accidentally go past the station where I had to change, because I was so engrossed.

There's so much I could compliment you on. The way John struggles and succeeds in understanding Sherlock. How Lestrade is also understanding and patient. Sherlock's frustration and persistence. Mrs Holmes being the mother he needs at the moment he needs it, but otherwise remains in the background.

Great story.
