State of the State Economy...

Depressing indeed. Arizona's taken a big hit, much like everyone else. What's even worse is that the worsening state of the national economy is being magnified by the clowns in Phoenix-who have YET to present a state budget to the Governor, even though our fiscal year ends at the end of the month. Do you have an annual Legislature? or a Bi-annual (Like us over here?)

It's an annual Legislature here. However, they can and do occasionally convene between regular sessions-usually in special session called by the Governor.

Right now the budget is the big concern. The deficit is substantial-something on the order of $2 billion. Looks like a possible showdown between Gov. Napolitano and the Republicans again.

*2* Billion?! Wow, that easily double what we're looking at over here. Did you guys have the same issues with the housing market not performing as "Expected"? or was there something else that added to this?

It isn't just the housing market. Part of the problem is the state legislature and the other part is the electorate. That is directly linked to problems in the employment market statewide ( ... )
