Now that the 1st season is up and running, what are your theories about what is really going on? Do you believe one reality over the other? Do you think it's a conspiracy?

At first I thought he was in a coma. When he was with his wife, she was talking to him. When he was with his son, he was talking to him. But now... now I'm not so sure.

Especially considering the comment made at the end of episode 2 (or was it 3) where his captain talked about eliminating his "entire family" and then his shrink in one world talking about seeing a picture that triggered Kate to be in another reality when the other reality came first.

Its a puzzle, and one I can't stop trying to figure out. Perhaps he's in a coma after all, but they are both dead.

That's what I thought, too!!! I still think it, but I'm pretty stubborn xD I figure, though, that IRL his family is still alive although, yeah, the conversation between the captain and that random guy makes me really curious.

RE: The picture, Dr. Lee said that the picture was actually his brain trying to continue to blur the lines between reality so he could have actually seen Kate first in the Dr. Lee reality and then added the picture to the scene of the other reality. Idk, but it's fascinating.

See... I read this today on This website

Dr. Evans (Cherry Jones), Michael's therapist in the Rex reality, suggests that the reason he saw Kate on the yacht in his "dream" (or the reality with Hannah) is because he must have subconsciously seen her in a photo in the murder victim Charlie's house. However, the episode began with the yacht scene in the Hannah world, preceding the scene in which Michael is examining Charlie's body and the crime scene in the Rex/Dr. Evans reality.

and its gotten me even more confused as I (like you) thought it was Dr.Lee that had the slip up.

Man, now I'm just confused. But yeah, I guess the yacht scene did happen first.

I have a hard time keeping it straight which therapist is in which reality, lol. So that doesn't help xD

So apparently Jason Isaacs gave an interview suggesting that one reality is actually real!

"While Executive Producers Kyle Killen and Howard Gordon dodged the question about which reality is real, or if the writers know which is real, Isaacs had no problem waving that little carrot in front of our noses. "I know which reality is real. Myself and the writers know. The entertainment value for the audience hopefully will be, first off, not knowing which world is real; just like Michael doesn't know what's real. Also, the weekly stories, seeing what the consequences are both professionally and personally for him of this very unique and troubling situation he's in."

That's really interesting and changes what I was originally going to say. I was starting to wonder if he was part of an experiment, since we saw them say that the accident was deliberate, I was starting to think maybe it was set up as a trigger to see if reality could be split.

But given this, I'm going back to my original theory that the son's universe is the real one. He seems to spend more time in that universe and to me there seems to be more details and it's more complex. But I could just be seeing things.

Oh man, really??

I think if I had to choose one reality, I'd want it to be the one with is son. But I really want them both to still be alive, damnit.
