Oh my - sounds like you've had a nightmare of a week. How great, though, that you have something positive about Jane to offset the temporary setbacks in other places.

And of course, I feel terrible about my email - are we still friends? I hope so. :)

I like the lyrics of that great philosopher, Sheryl Crow:

Everyday is a winding road
I get a little bit closer
Everyday is a faded sign
I get a little bit closer to feeling fine

Progress here isn't linear, and you can't see around the next bend. I'm sending you prayers and good wishes that when you round it, you'll be farther along than you ever thought possible.

Oh, dear magicofisis, OF COURSE we're still friends. I just got back from the ER; Jane has pneumonia. *sigh* But I knew you'd be worried, so as soon as I put her to bed, I came down to respond to your email. Should be in your box in about 15 minutes. You did precisely what I wanted you to do.

avus

P.S. And do I ever know about progress being non-linear. Oops. I hear Jane coughing. Bear with me if it takes a while to get back, and have no worries.

I always felt St Paul was a joyless bugger anyway!

I really hope you both get some laughs .. like ... SOON!
Blessings.

We do get laughs from time to time. And from his writings, we don't get the impression that St. Paul's strongest move was humor. But then, the letters were written for specific purposes, and those, seemingly, things gone wrong. Romans may have been a exception, but here he was introducing himself to a community and, perhaps, defending himself against what others had said of him. Not the best places for humor.

We're waiting for SOON, too. But it's likely going to be rough for a few days at least.

As my lj consists mostly of my whinings, I don't mind reading the whinings of others, because sometimes it just helps to whine a little (or a lot!). Plus getting it out here on lj helps me in real life sometimes, so I don't have to whine so much out loud.

I'm sorry you've had so much stuff break down, and so much to deal with. That stuff can be so hard to deal with, especially with so much on your plate already.

I really hope Jane's cold gets better soon.

I sometimes take spirulina for energy and wellbeing, and when I take it regularly, I feel it makes a difference. Maybe it can help you too. Or not, I just want to have something to offer you!

At any rate, you have my best wishes.

I appreciate your wanting to help, dear superpan, and your best wishes are most appreciated. In return, accept our best wishes for the continued good health of your family, especially your now quite-so-much-of-a baby.

Hi, Avus! Sorry I haven't commented much lately. I'm so sorry to hear about your financial and house troubles. I'm especially sorry to hear that Jane has pneumonia. I hope she's doing better.

She's lucky to have you there. Your description of her laugh and the importance of laughter was beautiful.

Thanks, sophierom. Jane's laughter is, indeed, beautiful. She seems to be on the mend, though this is only the first day.

*major hugs* Poor avus! Sounds incredibly trying. Here's hoping things pick up soon, and get well soon to Jane. *more hugs*

Thanks so much, dear jennyanydots21. But I fear things are far from settled. Not sure what's happening, but Jane appears to be staying more confused. If, when she wakes up and eats, she's not better, I'm cancelling work and going to the doctor's with her.

Will keep you posted as I have time.
