Okay, so my first big bang story idea is a wash. I got 5000 words written, went away for 10 days, and when I came back I realized that not only was it pretty bad and not what I wanted to be writing, there was no way the story was going to make it to 20,000 words. Yeah, I'm doing this thing. Both excited and anxious, but I figure it's as good a place to start as any. I hope my The Hangover-inspired tale of bro-time gone awry can get finished in between all the rocks I have to look at this summer.
