I felt the same way about the US when I moved here. I think I understand it almost as well as any place now... which is to say, not much, not enough; but maybe enough to know where to start looking.

Yes, I understand better USA, and Canada, and Russia, but they never stop surprising me, challenging my assumptions.

That's actually a lot - for any type of knowledge. I think it was a goal of the university education in Russia.
