Erm, it got reported here, that it was the storm that interfered with their cell phone service. Once there was a break in the storm, supposedly, they were able to call 911. But yes, it was extremely foolhardy for them to go out in the first place.

The fact that they even had cell phone capabilities wasn't reported on the local news until this morning.

We have a great weatherman here -- whose broadcasts go as far as Farmington -- who includes in his forecasts a "bust potential:" how likely a predicted storm is to actually materialize, and he's been at under 25% for this storm all along.

I saw the story on CNN and wondered how they could go "missing" so long when they were fine. My solution? Don't go outside when it's too cold!!!!!!! LOL

They have changed the rules here for car accidents and charge your insurance company for the ambulance if you are prosecuted for causing the accident. I would have thought they could make snowmobile insurance compulsory but that would not help with the stupid walker types *** shakes head ***
